I'm not too sure, it can be used as a glaze if you water it down just enough. I'd asume ther are some stains on the furniture relating to splater fro chauking, tar and okum ect. You can can also get a water-stain look with it too, just test it out on a piece of spare wood to see how deep it soaks on untreated/treated woods.

Oil paintings crack because the layers of paint dried at different rates (usually due to differing amounts of medium in the paints) or stopping and then starting again. *contemplates doing arts-restoration @-@*

I'm not too sure on how big he is since my friend is in Sydney and she's still deciding on features and dress.
