Lieutenant Jerrold and Isobel

nid_dabeilleMy latest poppets are Lt. Martin Jerrold and Isobel Dawson from The Reluctant Adventures of Martin Jerrold series by Edwin Thomas.
He looks a bit startled, which isn't unusual for him. I confess that I found myself shouting "Jerrold!" a lot while making him, much like his uncle in his letters.
His white piping is made of thread. I grooved channels in the wood to insert it. How I've evolved in my poppet trimming!
And his brown hair is tied back in a queue.
Accessories! Lt. Jerrold has his bicorne, and Isobel has her apron.
And dark hair with a few stray locks hanging down
I think they make a nice pair.
And as usually, they got introduced to the cats.
Isobel was the brave one.
Jerrold was not.
