You should meet my partner's mother....she knitted garments like that for Raven's Barbie when she was a kid (a little large, obv, but still) - like a real Fair Isle sweater & stuff. I am in AWE of her. She's trying (without much success) to teach me to knit socks. :D
How fun! I want to knit socks too! I bet you could knit one giant sock and it would be like Stephen's garment.
I can't knit at all. My mom tried to teach me when I was about 10, but it was just a boring chore for me. She also tried to get me into sewing, but it too was a chore. I do quilting though! I think I like it better because I sort of discovered it on my own, without my mom TELLING me I should and would enjoy it. But I think if I started knitting now, I would love it. I just need a teacher. (AND MORE SPARE TIME, MY GOODNESS. I already have two quilts going and my dollhousey things and so many other projects I want to start, and argh!)
