New miniature furniture!
I made these around Christmas time, but haven't gotten around to photographing and/or posting them until now.

Bigger pictures below...

A small side table for Jack's great cabin, and a candelabra (which was a Christmas present, and is called the "Sophia candelabra.")

Jack's desk

And unrelated to the above, these are some pieces I made for my niece for Christmas (pictured inside my dollhouse).  It was so gratifying that she was thrilled with them!

And this is my dollhouse, just recently brought to my apartment from my parents' house.  I made it when I was about 15 I think.  All the furniture and accessories are still wrapped and packed in boxes at the moment.  (And I now have lost the use of my kitchen table!)  But while it's empty, I'm going to give it a bit of a makeover with some of the moldings inside (and lack thereof).

I love all the wee furniture, as always, but what I love best? The commemorative plate with the Queen packing. That just wins *everything*.

The queen... packing? It's a clock. :D One of my friends (an American who also studied in the UK like me) was given that clock by a well-meaning aunt, but she thought it was just hideously kitschy and gave it to me. I think it's more amusingly kitschy. Kitsch for my kitchen.

AW SO CUTE!!!

Ahem. Imagine that said in a Very Dignified And Manly Voice. Yes. (Damnit, I think I shuffled my "Real Men Play With Toys" icon out of rotation.)

Those are gorgeous. I especially love the desk (it does look a lot like Stephen's desk, actually. The one he sits at when Joe Plaice comes to tell him of the sea monster).

Thank you!

Well, Jack and Stephen's desks in the movie are actually more like the one I already made for Stephen, (http://grace-poppy.livejournal.com/127861.html) with a full set of drawers, but I decided I would give Jack this one instead for variety.
